Dr. Armando Gonzalez, DPM
A native Floridian, Dr. Armando Gonzalez is a board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon specializing in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle procedures. He began his education at the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University in Miami, where he was recognized with multiple awards for academic excellence, leadership, and volunteerism.
Dr. Gonzalez completed a rigorous three-year surgical residency at United Health Services Hospitals in Johnson City, New York. During this time, he gained extensive training in the latest reconstructive foot and ankle surgery techniques, working alongside leading dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and orthopedic surgeons. His training also includes managing bone and joint infections, and his passion for skin conditions of the feet led him to complete a mini-fellowship in Podiatric Dermatology.
Board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Gonzalez is committed to providing patients with the most innovative and effective treatments. He stays active in various podiatric societies and emphasizes patient education to ensure the best possible outcomes.
A proud Cuban-American, Dr. Gonzalez understands the importance of God, family, and community. When he’s not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, participating in their school and sports teams, practicing Latin dancing, and volunteering in the local Ocala community. He looks forward to providing excellent foot and ankle care for your entire family.
